NewsREM to release their first live albumREM are to release their first live album on October 18. 'REM Live' is a two-CD, one DVD set recording on February 27, 2005 in Dublin's The Point venue, reports Billboard. As well as a slew of hits, The album will features rarities such as the previously unreleased 'I'm Gonna DJ', which is expected to feature on the band's next studio abum. 'Drive' '(Don't Go Back To) Rockville' 'I'm Gonna DJ' 'Man On The Moon' The band are currently in the studio with Jacknife Lee working on the follow-up to 2004's 'Around The Sun', which they plan to release in 2008. Eddie Vedder to score Sean Penn film Eddie Vedder has reportedly written several original songs for a film directed by Sean Penn that is due out this fall. The Pearl Jam frontman wrote almost an entire album's worth of songs for 'Into The Wild', which also features contributions from Academy Award-winning composer Gustavo Santaolla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel), reports the Playlist. Vedder will also have a small role in the film, which stars actor Emile Hirsch and is based on the John Krakauer novel of the same name. It is Vedder's first acting role since 1992's 'Singles'. The film is due to be released in the US on September 21. |
